Pregnancy yoga - its all about you, your body and your growing bump!

  • Gentle movements release tension and strengthen the body
  • Breathing exercises calm the mind
  • Relaxation can dissolve the symptoms of stress
  • Positive meditations strengthen the bond with your baby
  • Visualization's for preparation for the birth
  • Get together every week with other Mums to be

Positive preparation for the arrival of your baby can pave the way for a more relaxed, confident body and mind as labour begins. The ability to relax is essential. Relaxation can be enhanced with breathing and visualisation techniques practiced through pregnancy.

In each class, online or in person, we will breathe and stretch and strengthen your body as baby grows. This is such a special time for you and baby. I  encourage pregnant women to use these classes for deep body connection, to get grounded and tune in to the wisdom that is in each and every mothers cells. What we think matters, how we move matters, how we listen to our own hearts guidance matters. This will be part of every class.

You don't need experience and all levels of fitness can benefit from pregnancy yoga. Some people need to boost their energy with movement and some people need to slow down. The classes are designed to cater for these different needs.

Every woman is different, every birth is different but whatever your plan, or your experience, the more you know your body, the more you can trust and relax when the day comes.

  • "Just want to say a big thank you. I was blessed to have had the exact delivery I had imagined and hoped for at home but I’m not going to lie, delivering a baby that big with no pain relief or intervention was the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced, I really felt at one point that my body just couldn’t do it and then I quite literally told myself to get a grip! I drew on an inner strength, a lot of it gained from your influence and the influence of being in your classes surrounded by the love and support that you create within that environment and the feeling of feminine empowerment and strength and the ability to create and do miraculous, incredible things with our bodies and minds. I hope you realise that you have a very special gift, a quiet, calm ability to instil a very powerful belief in the woman that you teach that they are capable of anything. I feel very blessed to be a woman, to know other inspiring women like you and to be blessed with 2 beautiful girls who I will hopefully raise as strong independent women."

    -K.Riozzi

  • “Every woman in Merseyside should know about your classes. I promoted them whilst working as a midwife but now I have the privilege of experiencing how much they can prepare your body and mind set for birth.”

    -C.M LWH Midwife

  • "I managed to stay at home until my labour was really progressed and was only in hospital for one hour before I  had her - first baby too!  In my view the yoga / relaxation techniques you taught were absolutely integral to such a great birth as I felt prepared for what was coming, and used all of the techniques we’d practiced in class to get me and the baby ready for the delivery.  What you do is really amazing jenni and exactly what all pregnant mums should be doing."

    -K.Riley

  • "I made good use of all those breathing techniques we learnt and really listened to my body.. and I’m glad I did as it made the last part of labour and pushing mercifully short. Thanks for all your help once again with this pregnancy... you have kept me sane!!"

    -A.Bidder

  • "Thanks again for such a fab time at yoga, it was my favorite part of being pregnant, you really taught me how to appreciate my baby before I could hold him on my arms."

    -Katie

  • "I have now used yoga breathing to guide me through 2 water births. I am so glad I attended pregnancy yoga. It taught me so much, most importantly to trust my body, stay relaxed and breathe!"

    -Leila

  • "Despite being really nervous about the process it all went smoothly, and I think so much of that was down to the techniques I learnt in your classes. I kept up the golden thread breath throughout the induction and later on when labour started, and it really helped to keep me calm. I used the kneeling posture, first leaning on a chair and then in the birthing pool, and combined with the breathing it helped to keep me focused. The midwives said I seemed so calm, but I told them it was all down to pregnancy yoga :) Lauren eventually arrived in the pool, which was just what I'd hoped for. I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely pregnancy yoga classes. They were really one of my favourite parts of my pregnancy - it was so nice to have a relaxing space each week where I could just think about being pregnant and connecting with my baby, amidst all the business of preparing for a newborn. My only regret is that I didn't start the classes sooner, so was only able to fit in one course before Lauren arrived. If we ever give her a brother or a sister I'll be sure to start a lot earlier!"

    -C.Townsen

  • "I can't thank you enough for the confidence and strength you have given me to approach both of my labours in such a calm and relaxed way. As someone who thought she had a low pain threshold and had always been petrified of child birth to be able to approach both of my children's births with such excitement and no fear was quite an amazing turn around. I have had two truly wonderful beautiful births welcoming my children into the world. Without your yoga classes, and couples workshop that we both got so much from I don't think that would have been possible."

    -S.Chapell
